It works, I had the same problem when I dyed my hair. Or, also, I have heard that you can rub the dye off with the dye itself and then wash your hands! RUBBING ALCOHOL. But that means black marks any where the color "slipped". As soon as I'm done applying the color I use a clip to put my hair up and then wipe down all the spots and marks with a cotton ball dipped in nail polish remover. I don't know if it's the best way but as long as I get it right away it does the trick quickly and easily. Give it a try.
